LevelUP Through Us began with a simple observation that we kept hearing from writers.
Many talented people were applying for freelance work, content creation roles, and editorial opportunities only to run into the same request over and over again: send us links to your previously published work. For a surprising number of writers, that's where the process stopped. Not because they lacked ideas, skill, or dedication, but because they hadn't yet had the opportunity to build a visible body of published work.
We've spent more than a decade working alongside writers through Nom de Plume Publications, helping independent authors publish and promote their books. Over the years we've seen how powerful it can be when a writer finally has the chance to share their work with the world. We've also seen how frustrating it can be when someone is ready to move forward but doesn't yet have the publication history others expect.
LevelUP Through Us grew out of those conversations.
We wanted to create a space where writers could submit their work, receive thoughtful editorial review, and build a professional record of published writing they could confidently share. When an article is published through the platform, it appears with a professional byline and a permanent link that can be used in portfolios, applications, and professional profiles. Instead of explaining what they can do as writers, contributors have something tangible to show.
The editorial review process is an important part of that. It helps ensure that when work appears on our publication platforms it reflects effort, care, and professionalism. Most submissions move smoothly through review, and occasionally a piece may need a little refinement before it's ready. When that happens, the goal isn't to turn writers away but to help them present work they'll feel proud to attach their name to.
LevelUP Through Us is still growing, and that growth is intentional. The platform continues to expand as more writers join and contribute their ideas, perspectives, and stories. What matters most to us is creating an environment where writers feel supported, respected, and confident sharing their work.
At the end of the day, the mission is very simple. We believe good writing deserves the opportunity to be seen, and that sometimes the most important step in a writer's career is simply having a place to begin.
